Glossary

Hello, reading audience!
If you are confused by anything you have read in this blog so far, then coming to the Glossary page is a fantastic idea! With an overactive imagination and a lifetime's worth of stored ideas, there's bound to be some weird new inventions or strange unfamiliar places or odd sounding people I have dreamed up for this alternate-reality world; words which will need proper definitions. Fortunately, a device exists to satisfy that very need...

And you're reading it now!

As a child I was a voracious reader, gobbling up whatever books my parents would bring back from the library. It didn't matter if they were books detailing the Inuit words for snow or instructional pamphlets describing the best way to gut a fish-- I would digest them. Once I discovered the genre of science fiction though, I became an enthusiast. Imagine my joy when I realized that if I wanted to suddenly appear in wonderful, terrifying and strange places, away from the dull and dreary everyday, I need only head off to the Fantasy/SciFi section and grab a Universe off of the shelf.
Some of those works were vast multi-book sagas and I would often need to shuffle through the volumes, reading and re-reading many passages in order to to figure out the intricacies of those interconnected worlds. While the search often proved fruitful, I would have slain a Kraken for a glossary, an index or word list to help me more quickly.
Well, now I'M the writer and I insist on giving my readers the assistance I so desired back in my unspoiled youth. No thank you necessary... it is my pleasure to serve.
Now for the Key. After each definition is the story name where, and time period when, the word was coined. In addition to the three time periods covered in the Stories (The Now, the Interim and the Illumination) I have added the Imagined, which covers any tales I happen to write which, although still espousing a Perfect World style of living, don't fit into any of the timelines.
To jump directly to the story hosting each term, click on the word among the list of Labels to the Left. If you cannot find the word you are looking for, use your Find command (Command- F or Control- F) and search that way, as you've no doubt figured out by now. I've added a Timeline to help you determine where in static time I have dumped you. There is also a Character List-- up there in the Tabs, near where you found the Glossary. If what you're looking for is not here, it may be there... especially if it's a Proper Noun.

Onward, ho!

Under this theory, every person will be able to work at that which they love, which will supply the world's needs with all necessary labor. Founder quote: "What makes the Perfect World perfect is not that it's perfect or that we're perfect, because we're certainly not perfect, and neither is the Perfect World going to be perfect. What IS perfect is the perfect arrangement between us imperfect creatures, and the Perfect World system, which caters to imperfection."
